Usually at this time of year, Aileen Fisher’s poetic words ‘Only icicles weep tears when spring appears’ could not ring more true. However, many of us will no doubt be hoping that we, too, will be weeping tears this spring – tears of joy, that is.
After being cooped up indoors due to lengthy lockdowns, our winter blues have been darker than most, so we are very ready to embrace spring with open arms and hope that a change of season brings with it a change of scenery. As the weather begins to warm up and the cold winter chill eases, it’s time to prepare our patios, courtyards, terraces, decks and balconies for a (hopefully) socially celebratory season ahead.
